Shyam Teri Bansi Pukare Radha Naam

Jamuna Ki Lehren Bansibat Ki Chhaiyaan
Kiska Nahin Hai Kaho Krishan Kanhaiya
Shyam Ka Deewana To Saara Brij Dhaam

Jara samne to aao chaliye

Devotee seeking God. Why are you always hiding, he asks. Actually the Creator is not very far from creation, but we can't see him. It takes years of hard spiritual practices to get 'the eyes' to see him.

Tum Hi Ho Mata Pitta Tum Hi Ho...

A simple prayer in Sanskrit, which is from the Shri Vishwanatha Suprabhata (Morning Salutations to Shiva):

tvameva mAtA cha pitA tvameva tvameva bandhushcha sakhA tvameva
tvameva vidyA draviNaM tvameva tvameva sarvaM mama devadeva

Thou alone art mother and father to me
Thou alone art kin and friend to me
Thou alone art knowledge and wealth to me
Thou art my all, my Lord of Lords.

A song in Hindi based on this Sanskrit sloka (verse) was sung by Lata Mangeshkar for the film Main Chup Rahungi (1962), Tumhi Ho Mata, Pita Tumhi Ho. The lyrics were by Rajendra Krishan, and the music composed by Chitragupta.
